Music for THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE – Pemberton & Sim Enter the World of Thra
Daniel Pemberton and Samuel Sim are scoring Netflix’s ten-episode prequel to THE DARK CRYSTAL, the 1982 puppet animated high fantasy adventure film directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. Directed by Louis Leterrier (NOW YOU SEE ME, CLASH OF THE TITANS, THE INCREDIBLE HULK), the new Netflix series follows three Gelflings – Rian, Brea and Deet – as they discover the secret behind the Skeksis’ power, and undertake a quest to start a rebellion and save the world.
Daniel Pemberton is best known for his work on STEVE JOBS (2015), KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD (2017), OCEAN’s 8 (2018), SPIDER-MAN: INTO THE SPIDERVERSE (2018); Samuel Sims is a veteran composer for British TV documentaries and series, including THE MILL (2014), HOME FIRES (2015-16), THE HALCYON (2017), INNOCENT (2018).
THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE will launch on Netflix Aug. 30.
