Savage Dead Ones Cause Horror Outbreak in Philippines!
Filipino Zombie Film OUTSIDE debuts on Netflix Oct. 17.
The first-ever Zombie movie produced in the Philippines opens Oct 17th on Netflix. The film focuses on a Filipino family trying to outrun a zombie outbreak. A cunning father (Sid Lucero) and a strong-willed mother (Beauty Gonzalez) take their sons (Marco Masa, Aiden Patdu) to the father’s idyllic childhood farmhouse to escape a zombie outbreak, by returning to the father’s childhood farmhouse, fortifying it to keep out “The Dead Ones,” but they quickly discover that safety is harder to come by than they thought – and there is just as much horror and trauma at the ancestral home as there is outside the gates.
Writing in The Hollywood Reporter, Abid Rahman describes the film as focusing “on zombies as the main key attraction; the film delves deep into issues such as generational trauma and abuse. The film stars Sid Lucero as the troubled father, Beauty Gonzalez as the strong-willed mother and Marco Masa and Aiden Patdu as their terrified sons.” The picture is directed by Carlo Ledesma, known for the cult Aussie found-footage horror movie The Tunnel (2011).
A film composer has not been announced.
