STAR WARS: TALES FROM THE GALAXY’S EDGE is a new virtual reality video game that launches November 19 exclusively on the Oculus Quest all-in-one VR system. It’s an action-adventure/virtual reality experience that takes place on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost of STAR WARS: GALAXY’S EDGE, the epic land at Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Players assume the role of a droid technician operating near Batuu, but when a group of Guavian Death Gang pirates attack you’ll be forced to jettison the ship’s mysterious cargo and head for an escape pod. Fighting alongside classic characters and facing intimidating villains, you’ll explore all-new regions and eras of the Star Wars galaxy. With multiple difficulty settings, TALES FROM THE GALAXY’S EDGE has been crafted for all types of players and fans.
ILMxLAB announced today that composers Bear McCreary, Danny Piccione, and Joseph Trapanese are the composers who have scored the new VR game. Check back on the ILMxLAB Twitter account this week for exclusive interviews and song previews from each composer.
