John Paesano to Score PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS
John Paesano (DAREDEVIL, THE DEFENDERS, THE MAZE RUNNER) is slated to score the upcoming Showtime original series PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS. The show is a spin-off of PENNY DREADFUL (2014-16), is set in 1938 Los Angeles after a grisly murder shocks the city and follows a detective and his partner as they become embroiled in an epic story that reflects the rich history of L.A. The series stars Natalie Dormer as Magda, a supernatural demon who can take the form of anyone she chooses, Daniel Zovatto as Tiago Vega, the LAPD’s first Mexican-American detective, Nathan Lane as Lewis Michener, a veteran LAPD officer and Vega’s partner, and Brent Spiner as Ned Vanderhoff, a police captain and Vega and Michener’s boss.
Abel Korzeniowski scored the original PENNY DREADFUL series and received three Emmy Award nominations for his work on the show. PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS will premiere on April 26, 2020 on Showtime. Visit the official show website for updates.
