Sarah Schachner Scores PREDATOR Origin Story PREY

The upcoming science fiction/horror/action film PREY is the fifth installment in the Predator franchise and a prequel to the first four films. It is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and stars Amber Midthunder, Dakota Beavers, Dane DiLiegro, Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush, and Julian Black Antelope.

The film tells the origin story of the Predator in the world of the Comanche Nation 300 years ago: Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago during 1719, the film follows Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior, who has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains. So when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien with a technologically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.

The film is being scored by Sarah Schachner, an American composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles. Recent credits include: ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA (2020), CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE (2019), ANTHEM (2019), ASSASSIN’S CREED ORIGINS (2017), THE LAZARUS EFFECT (2015), CALL OF DUTY INFINITE WARFARE, ASSASSIN’S CREED UNITY, CHEF’S TABLE (Netflix), NASA Jet Propulsion Lab Mission Control Music Project, NASA Cassini Finale Music Project.

The film is scheduled for streaming release on August 5, 2022 on Hulu.
