Joseph Bishara Scores ANNABELLE COMES HOME – Watch Film’s Trailer Here

       – by Randall D. Larson

The picture was written and co-produced by James Wan, who also produced the previous two ANNABELLE films, and wrote the first two films in THE CONJURING series (begun 2013), for his Atomic Monster Productions company (not to mention the INSIDIOUS franchise, FURIOUS 7, AQUAMAN, and many others).

The new movie will pick up directly after Ed and Lorraine Warren took the Annabelle doll, at the end of the first ANNABELLE movie. While the second film, ANNABELLE: CREATION, was a prequel, ANNABELLE COMES HOME is a direct sequel to the original ANNABELLE movie and continues its timeline.

Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her “safely” behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest’s holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target—the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends.

The new film will feature a deliciously spooky score by Joseph Bishara, who has composed the music for most of Wan’s Atomic Monster horror films (except for ANNABELLE: CREATION), and will undoubtedly secure ANNABELLE COMES HOME with a very creepy and eclectic mix of sonic textures and tonalities appropriate to the doll’s haunted personality.

ANNABELLE COMES HOME is set to open in theaters and IMAX on June 28, 2019 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
