PUPPET MASTER Begets DOKTOR DEATH Spinoff – Music by Richard Band & Jerry Smith

The PUPPET MASTER horror film series focuses on a group of anthropomorphic puppets animated by an Egyptian spell, each one equipped with its own unique and dangerous device and are represented as heroes, antiheroes, and antagonists. The franchise was created by Charles Band and Kenneth J. Hall. Produced by Full Moon Features, the series was established in 1989 with the eponymous first installment, which has since been followed by ten sequels, a crossover with the characters of DEMONIC TOYS, a 2018 reboot entitled THE LITTLEST REICH, a spin-off film about one of the puppets, BLADE THE IRON CROSS, and now an upcoming spin-off about Retro PUPPET MASTER’S DOKTOR DEATH. This film will be the second film appearance by Dr. Death.

This latest spin-off features music by Richard Band, who wrote the original PUPPET MASTER theme and score most of the films in the franchise, and Jerry Smith, the latter in his first feature length credit after scoring a number of horror-related shorts (STITCHES, TAXI, HANGNAIL) and music for featured interviews in the HALLOWEEN 4K Collection (1995-2002). Welcome aboard, Jerry!

In this stand-alone shocker, the most malevolent marionette in Charles Band’s Iconic PUPPET MASTER universe comes crawling out of his trunk in this shocking sidebar to Full Moon’s most beloved franchise. The scalpel-wielding Doktor Death is unleashed in a ramshackle nursing home and a beautiful young med student is trapped in an erotic nightmare and must face-off against the demon that inhabits the evil puppet. Once the terror begins it refuses to stop until the pint-sized psycho surgeon has spilled blood.
