Multiverse of Madness’ Soundtrack Album Due May 4th – Danny Elfman Rejoins Director Sam Raimi

DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS, is scheduled for release May 6th by Walt Disney Pictures. Danny Elfman, rejoining director Sam Raimi (their last collaboration was in 2013’s OZ THE GREAT AND POWERFUL), has composed the new film’s score, and the soundtrack will be released by Hollywood Records & Marvel Music on May 4th.

Elfman started work on the film back in February of 2021, composing “bits of recorded music they need for the sets,” as he told inverse.com. A January 2022 article in comicbook.com included a series of behind-the-scenes shots of some photos Elfman had posted of himself and musical associate Steve Bartek at work scoring the film. Now we’re only days away until the completed score can be heard.

In this film, Dr. Stephen Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens the doorway to alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary, whose threat to humanity is too great for the combined forces of Strange, Wong, and Wanda Maximoff.
