Neo-Soul Singer-Songwriter Saleka Releases Song “All I Want” from Apple Original Series SERVANT

Lakeshore Records has announced the release today of Philadelphia-based neo-soul singer-songwriter Saleka’s darkly seductive new single, “All I Want.” The track will appear in the fourth season of SERVANT, the Apple Original series from her father, M. Night Shyamalan. Saleka’s music is key to setting the tone to key moments in the psychological thriller and this song reflects a crucial pivot in the perspective of the character, Leanne. The music will also appear on her forthcoming EP, Songs From The Attic—a 7-track collection featuring all of Saleka’s singles from the series—which will be released on March 17.

“ ‘All I Want’ is the first Vivian Dale song to appear in the fourth and final season of ‘Servant,’” Saleka shares. “It signals the energy shift in Leanne as the balance in the Turner house starts to violently combust. Leanne has been questioning her own darkness and fearing herself. Inspired by the spirit of Halloween she starts to embrace what she is afraid of and gives herself and her disciples permission to indulge their desires. This song plays as Leanne puts on her Halloween costume and her cult starts to recklessly take over the streets—a metaphoric transformation.”

SERVANT is an American psychological horror streaming television series created by Tony Basgallop and executive produced alongside M. Night Shyamalan, who serves as showrunner. It follows Dorothy and Sean Turner, a Philadelphia couple who hire Leanne Grayson to be the nanny for their infant son Jericho, a reborn doll. Leanne’s arrival brings about strange and frightening occurrences for the couple. The series is currently in its ten-episode/fourth and final season, which premiered on January 13, 2023.
