Lakeshore Records Releases QUANTUM LEAP – Music By Daniel James Chan

It’s been 30 years since Dr. Sam Beckett stepped into the Quantum Leap accelerator and vanished. Now a new team has been assembled to restart the project in the hopes of understanding the mysteries behind the machine and the man who created it. The season premiered on September 19, 2022 and concluded after 18 episodes on April 3, 2023. The series has been renewed for a second season.

About the 2022 series: Dr. Ben Song, lead physicist of a top-secret government time-travel program known as Quantum Leap, makes an unauthorized leap into the past, awakening in a different body with only fragments of his memory intact. Guided by Addison, a colleague in the present day who appears to him as a hologram that only he can see and hear, he discovers the only way for him to leap again is to correct something in his host person’s life. As Ben leaps from life to life, putting right what once went wrong, his team in the present tries to figure out why he leaped and bring him home. The show is available to stream on Peacock and NBC website and NBC app and On-Demand on Comcast/Xfinity Systems for free with ads.

Says composer Chan: “In ‘Quantum Leap’ we’re on a space shuttle one week and the next in the old west. That type of storytelling calls for a broad range of music flavors which is one of my favorite parts of being a composer.” Chan’s previous credits include scores for SUPERGIRL, DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, ABC’s EMERGENCE and the Warner Bros. Animation series FREEDOM FIGHTERS: THE RAY. Notable film credits include THE ODD WAY HOME, MONSTER IN A HOUSE and the award-winning JOSEPHINE AND THE ROACH.

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album April 28th, which is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services. Purchase/Stream the soundtrack here.
