Bear McCreary Scores WE HAVE A GHOST for Netflix – Soundtrack Released Today
WE HAVE A GHOST is a family comedy horror film written and directed by Christopher Landon (FREAKY, HAPPY DEATH DAY, SCOUTS GUIDE TO THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE) based on the 2017 short story “Ernest,” by Geoff Manaugh. Synopsis: After finding a ghost with a murky past haunting their new house, a family becomes internet sensations – and the targets of a shadowy government agency. The film stars David Harbour (BLACK WIDOW, STRANGER THINGS, VIOLENT NIGHT), Jahi Di’Allo Winston (QUEEN & SLIM, THE DEAD DON’T DIE, THE UPSIDE), Tig Notaro (ARMY OF THE DEAD, LUCY IN THE SKY, STAR TREK: DISCOVERY), Jennifer Coolidge (SHOTGUN WEDDING, A MIGHTY WIND, BEST IN SHOW, EPIC MOVIE, CLICK), and Anthony Mackie (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER, THE HURT LOCKER).
Bear McCreary has scored the film, having scored Landon’s previous FREAKY and both HAPPY DEATH DAY films. In a Facebook post, Bear commented: “The score is my love letter to 1980’s Goldsmith / Williams / Elfman / Amblin.” A soundtrack album was released today and is available to stream or download on the major digital music services.
WE HAVE A GHOST is scheduled to be released on February 24, 2023, by Netflix.
